Every day one of a famous rocksong is playing in my mind, that influences me to design new songideas. I love to invent guitarriffs. Not only while jamming at home, also on the way the inspiration for melodies and rythmns kicks in.

THE ABSENCE OF CORNERS are a Jena-based alternative rock band with a colorful line-up and a modern, varied song repertoire - the audience is free to decide for themselves whether there are rough edges. Stylistically, elements from ska, reggae, soul, rap and metal are also mixed in. Backed up with strong female vocals, they once again remind you of bands like Paramore or the Guano Apes. With self-written songs, nothing stops them from entering Germany's big stages.
The band was already founded in 2014, but with a few line-up changes, it has completed its core formation since March 2019. Together they work on new songs and performances. The songs not only reflect their own characters, but also give the listener a repertoire of different moods and mixes of styles. From socially critical to rebellious lyrics, The Absence of Corners don't mince their words. They stay so casual and cool that you can really feel the rock'n'roll. Whether it's hot guitar riffs, dark bass lines, pervading drum vibes or strong vocal melodies, The Absence of Corners know how to get their audience rocking.
